We were able to spend a couple days in Isle of Skye thanks to Alex's parents and Granny Anderson. We had perfect weather the whole time except for about 10 minutes of rain that we drove into and then back out of. As usual the photos really don't do the scenery justice.

On our way up we stopped at Eilean Donan Castle. Met a local bagpiper outside who hopes to one day pack up his pipes and tour around Australia. |

This was the view from our room - I think of of the best views from a hotel that I've had |

An example of some of the roads through the mountains on the island |

We went on a boat tour to find some of the local wildlife. There were some white tailed eagles hanging around (this one is still pretty young so he sucks at catching fish - he missed like 5 times) |

There were also seals!!!! |
On our last morning in Skye we went to see the Fairy Pools. It's this really cool set of connected mini pools and waterfalls. You can swim in your own natural infinity pool. I couldn't resist having a quick dip but it wasn't as relaxing as the photos make out. It was FREEZING. Made the other tourists laugh though. Here's a few photos from that morning:
